If you’re ready to dive in and check it out, you can buy Xbox games and get in on all the action. The first thing I always do in these games is create my own character, so I dove straight into the MyPLAYER section. As far as character creators go, it’s pretty solid, with sliders to tweak your face, height, and body type. You can pick from two body types, each with its own set of clothing options. After customizing and naming my player, I was lowkey bummed that there wasn’t an option to give my character a name the commentary team could use. It’s not a huge deal, but it did get a little annoying hearing my player called "the player" or "he" the whole time. Next, I hit up the Training section and was introduced to the new EvoSwing mechanics. It breaks your swing down into four parts: Contact, Rhythm, Transition, and Swing Path. These elements affect how your ball flies after contact, so nailing them is key—especially if you’re using the Swing Stick. What I noticed is that PGA Tour 2K25 puts more emphasis on how precise your inputs are than on Swing Timing. This focus on precision lets you develop your own timing and swing path without it completely messing up your game. Even though there’s still some room for error in what counts as “precision,” the on-screen indicators show exactly how far off you are from the ideal mark. It’s helpful because it keeps the ball from going into literal Narnia—like it does for me IRL.

PGA TOUR 2K25: Perfect Swing for Easier Shots

In addition to the new swing mechanics, PGA Tour 2K25 introduces Perfect Swing, a fresh difficulty setting that takes a lot of the guesswork out of your shots. If you're into this new feature and want more games that make gameplay feel intuitive, you should definitely buy PS5 games with similar helpful mechanics! Perfect Swing reduces the effects of external factors like wind, making it easier to stay on the fairway and line up shots to the green. At first, I relied on Perfect Swing because it made hitting the ball smooth and getting those greens pretty straightforward. But once I started winning tournaments in MyCareer by double digits, I realized I needed more of a challenge. So, I cranked up the difficulty from Perfect Swing to Pro, then to Master, and finally found the sweet spot of challenge while still keeping it playable. I had to be way more precise—judging wind speed and adjusting clubs depending on the situation—which made winning future tournaments way more rewarding. That said, Perfect Swing isn’t a bad feature at all. In fact, it’s one of my favorite parts of PGA Tour 2K25 because it lets players of all skill levels jump in and compete. MyCareer got a pretty solid update in PGA Tour 2K25, making it feel more realistic as you progress through the season. For me, the biggest addition is the new Conversation and Interview system. It lets you build your character’s personality and boost your fan base. After tournaments, you can hold press conferences or sit-down interviews where you discuss your performance and your plans for the rest of the season. Your dialogue choices shape your character’s personality, and you can pick from Bold, Composed, or Reserved options depending on the vibe you’re going for.

PGA TOUR 2K25: MyCareer Decisions with Real Impact

Player dilemmas also pop up during MyCareer mode. For example, early on, I was given the choice to either create an app with drills and training techniques or visit a school to promote reading among students. Each decision had its own perks—one gave me fan growth, while the other sometimes gave me a little boost for the next round. It’s a fun way to mix things up and make your journey feel more personal. Now, back to MyPLAYER, there’s a key feature in the character creator I missed earlier: the player archetype. When creating your character in PGA Tour 2K25, you choose one of five archetypes: Powerhouse, Technician, Magician, Sculptor, and Greenskeeper. Each one gives you starting attributes that match its style of play. Like, Powerhouse is all about hitting the ball further, while Technician focuses more on Swing Path and Contact. As you go through tournaments, you’ll earn attribute points that you can spend on leveling up different stats, making your golfer stronger and closer to legendary status. The Skills system also got a major overhaul in PGA Tour 2K25, with skill trees for different shot types: Tee, Approach, Bunker, Recovery, Green, and Chip. As you level up in these trees, you unlock new shot types within each one. For instance, in the Approach tree, there’s a skill that lets you hit your driver off the fairway, not just from the tee box. It’s a risky move, but if you pull it off, it could change the game—turning a 20-foot putt for eagle into a 50-yard chip for a birdie.

PGA TOUR 2K25: Iconic Courses and Major Tournaments

When it comes to courses, PGA Tour 2K25 has you covered with 27 licensed courses, including classics like Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, TPC Scottsdale, and Torrey Pines South. Plus, The Old Course at St. Andrews will drop in Season 2. The game also features three of the four major tournament courses from this year’s PGA Tour—2025’s U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club, and the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club. The only major missing is Augusta National, but that’s still a solid lineup. Visually, PGA Tour 2K25 is stunning. You can immediately tell that the graphics have been massively upgraded from PGA Tour 2K23. This is clear not just in the player models, but in the courses too. It’s obvious that HB Studios made sure the game looks top-tier while still keeping things smooth and easy to play. The Course Designer in PGA Tour 2K25 is next-level. It features a new high-res terrain system, updated surfaces, fresh items, and all-new tools, making it way easier to build your dream course. Plus, you can share your creations, so players around the world can check out your designs. I gave it a shot, but I’m just not the creative type for that level of design. Still, the controls are super intuitive and easy to pick up, so even someone like me can get the hang of it—about 75% of the battle right there. HB Studios and 2K absolutely nailed it with PGA Tour 2K25. It takes everything that made the previous game great and makes it even better. In the world of sports games, this is exactly the kind of improvement you want to see.

Fresh air, some light exercise, and plenty of time to make your moves. PGA Tour 2K25 totally nails that chill energy, at least for me. If you want to keep those relaxed vibes going, you can always buy Xbox games and experience the same energy from the comfort of your couch. I’m not exactly a golf sim pro, but I’m not stressed about it. You can tweak the game to be as chill or intense as you want, and honestly, the pace is super forgiving. Plus, the game looks and feels amazing. Since I never played 2K23, I didn’t realize how much of an upgrade this one is. The courses? Straight up fire. Someone posted a side-by-side of the same course from both games, and it’s literally night and day. The details are next-level, and the whole thing feels like you’re watching a real match on TV, which is crazy. It’s not perfect, but it’s super immersive. The crowd’s hype, the announcers are always talking, dynamic lighting hits different, and the camera angles are on point. The music’s catchy and smooth, sound effects are clean, and the impact sound? Chef’s kiss. But honestly, all that doesn’t even hold a candle to what kept me hooked—the gameplay loop.

PGA TOUR 2K25: MyCareer Mode is Flowing

MyCareer mode is vibing. You’re playing tons of matches, doing interviews, training, and locking down sponsorships—everything just flows together so smoothly. The loading screens are super quick, like one or two seconds max, and the matches themselves are short but super satisfying. If you’re loving this seamless experience, you might want to buy PS5 games that offer similarly smooth and engaging career modes! The simulated match stuff blends perfectly with the hands-on gameplay, too. You’ve got some pre- and post-match banter from the announcers, but you can breeze through that if you’re not trying to hear it. Interviews are quick, and the whole sponsorship thing is pretty streamlined. Bottom line? There’s barely anything getting in the way of you playing, even in MyCareer mode. Now, as someone who isn’t deep into sim golf, the difficulty settings in 2K25 are a little intimidating. But I do respect how detailed they are. The Perfect Swing mode (aka the easy mode) is on by default, and turning that off was, honestly, humbling. That’s just the start, though. You can tweak a ton of stuff in the menus, from your performance to CPU behavior, course settings, and even the match rules. I haven’t messed with it all yet, but I can see how deep you can go. One thing I changed immediately? The controls. You’ve got the option for stick controls or the three-button system for shots. For me? Buttons all day, fam. Stick controls feel like you’re giving up control to some angry digital god, and honestly, I’m not here for that. I had to use stick controls during online matches, which is why I dipped from online play. Maybe when the game fully drops, I’ll give it another shot?

PGA TOUR 2K25: Customization for Wild Characters

I’m all about creating wild, messed-up characters in games. The crazier, the better. And Tour 2K25 definitely gives you some solid options in that department, although the body shapes are a bit too “realistic” for my taste. That said, you can still make a chunkier golfer if you’re into that, and that’s fire. The restrictions make sense though, since the game’s got a bunch of swing animations that need to fit certain body types. So, no matter who you create, your golfer’s gonna look smooth and natural swinging those clubs. Plus, your character has different classes to pick from, with starting stats that show their strengths and weaknesses on the course. It’s a nice little touch, even if I don’t always fully get it. Tour 2K25 is packed with ways to play. I spent a lot of time in MyCareer mode, but there’s also ranked matches, quick play, training, ranked tours, societies, and Top Golf. And if you’re rocking your custom golfer, pretty much everything gives you experience points. The single-player grind can be kinda slow, but you can tweak the difficulty to speed it up. But honestly, beyond leveling up, all these modes are perfect for getting your skills up, which I definitely need since I’m terrible at sim golf.

PGA TOUR 2K25: Complexity Meets Challenge

At first, it all seems pretty chill, but this game gets real complicated, real quick. You’ve gotta think about wind, elevation, shot strength, angle, and what club you’re using. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, honestly. But here’s the thing—I never felt overwhelmed. Every fail? Just a chance to learn and get better. And the game totally has your back with that. There’s always another tourney, another match where you can flip the script. Plus, you’re racking up that sweet XP the whole time, so it never feels like you’re wasting your time, even when you’re getting bodied. As a newbie to sim golf, I picked the perfect time to jump in. PGA Tour 2K25 is slick, smooth, and super addicting. There are so many ways to play and so much customization to mess with. Want a certain type of match with your preferred difficulty? You can set that up. I was skipping through the post-game interviews like a maniac, but the actual gameplay? Top-tier. I love that they’ve got so many control options, especially since the stick controls are straight-up cursed. The courses look amazing, your swings feel on point, and every shot has that satisfying sound. If you’re on the hunt for the next big sim golf game, PGA Tour 2K25 is definitely your move.

Maybe it’s because I’m pretty awful at golf in real life, but I’ve been sinking birdies and the occasional eagle for years – and hey, I even nailed a hole-in-one once! If you’re like me and love the game without the stress of real-life golf, you can buy Xbox games and keep those virtual birdies coming! So, seeing 2K and HB Studios drop another entry in their golf series is exciting, especially since PGA Tour 2K25 is a solid upgrade from the last one. The two-year gap really paid off. Everything looks sharper – from the character models to the courses to even the golf balls! And it’s not just about looks – the gameplay feels smoother overall, and with three different swing options, the possibilities are endless. The swing system is back in multiple styles, and the new EvoSwing really steps things up. It’s a more realistic experience that uses your rhythm and dexterity to simulate swinging a golf club with the Swing Stick, which is pretty cool. If you want something more chill, the new Perfect Swing difficulty setting makes the external factors less impactful, helping newer players get the hang of things without stressing over all the complicated details. And if all else fails, you can always go back to my favorite, the 3-Click Swing. There’s an option for everyone, and that’s awesome.

Frustrations with Chip Shots in PGA Tour 2K25: Something Feels Off

I did get a bit frustrated with chip shots, though. It felt kind of off trying to get the ball onto the green. I have some great memories of chipping the ball close to the hole in previous games, but I had a hard time getting it right in 2K25. If you're looking for a smoother experience with chip shots, maybe it's time to buy PS5 games that offer more intuitive mechanics and a better feel for those tricky shots! I’m not gonna blame the game here – it’s probably just me, but something definitely feels different, and I haven’t quite mastered it yet. That said, being able to change your tee position, which might seem minor but was super annoying in 2K23, is a nice improvement. Plus, now you can choose where to drop your shot when you land in a hazard, which gives you way more control than before. Most players will likely jump straight into MyCareer. One thing I really love is how 2K25 respects your time. You can pick how much of each course you want to play. If you're short on time, you can just play 6 holes out of the 18, and let the sim handle the rest. Even the simming is customizable – you can set the AI version of your player to be as good or bad as you like. In MyCareer, the main goal is to earn points in tournaments and fight for a spot in the FedExCup. But before each event, you can do some training and minigames to earn stat buffs and get a feel for the course. Those stat boosts are super important as you progress, especially when those extra few meters on a drive can make a big difference getting closer to the hole. It might seem like filler, but there’s a reason behind it.

Customizing MyPlayer and Unlocking New Skills in PGA Tour 2K25

MyCareer and building your MyPlayer definitely feels more RPG-like this time around. You can unlock specific shots through the skill tree and earn stat buffs to improve your gameplay. There are six trees in total, and I went with the Powerhouse build, focusing on launching the ball as far down the fairway as possible. Along with leveling up your player, you can level up your clubs using tokens to boost stats in certain areas, and then use EvoTools to unlock even higher potential, tweaking your equipment to match and enhance your playstyle. There’s also a popularity system, which isn’t anything new but adds a little extra flavor to the game. Off the course, you can influence fans during interviews, and your answers can come off as bold or laid-back. It’s kind of like the paragon/renegade system from Mass Effect, but without any real impact. Sure, my popularity numbers went up, and I gained more followers on social media, but it didn’t really change anything in terms of gameplay, so I didn’t see much point in diving deep into this system. It could’ve tied into sponsorships, but in the end, it’s all about playing solid golf to unlock branding and cosmetics. The rivals feature, though, still feels kind of flat. I finished a tournament and was told I beat my rival – but I didn’t even know I had one! All I did was score better than them. If they made a bigger deal out of rivalries and gave a more satisfying reward for beating tough opponents, I’d be more invested. Right now, it just feels like a missed opportunity.

The Wild and Chaotic Online Mode in PGA Tour 2K25

Outside of MyCareer, the online modes from 2K23 make a return, and I'm all about Divot Derby. It’s a fast-paced, chaotic mode where up to 20 players tee off at once and race to the hole in a wild golf ‘battle-royale’ style. Basically, it’s a blast. Topgolf is also back, an arcade-style mode where you aim at targets and rack up points. It was a huge hit last year, so it makes sense to see it return. The Clubhouse Pass is back, too, but now it doesn’t expire, following the trend of a lot of recent titles. There's a free version and a Premium track, but thankfully, both and the other microtransactions are mostly cosmetic. Sure, you can spend real money to upgrade your stats faster, but you can also do it just by playing, so it’s not too in-your-face. Plus, the stats don’t make a huge difference in this game compared to NBA 2K, where those stat buffs are way more noticeable. While it doesn’t quite capture the same vibe as EA’s classic golf games, PGA Tour 2K25 is HB Studios’ best effort so far. There’s enough here to keep you hooked for a while, and if the PGA Tour 2K series keeps going in this direction, it could easily become the top golf game in the years ahead.

The action sequences in both games, such as the Madagascar chase and the intense battle with Asav on the train, stand out. Complemented by challenging puzzles, engaging dialogues, and the allure surrounding the sought-after artifacts, these elements are combined with lightning-fast loading times and heightened immersion in the UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Enhanced Visuals and Gameplay Options in the Uncharted Series

The intention here isn't to delve extensively into the original games' history and attributes but to focus on the changes in this new version. First and foremost, let's talk about the visual enhancements. The UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection presents stunning 4K graphics. Whether in Fidelity Mode, delivering true 4K at 30 FPS, or in Performance Mode, offering 60 FPS with a 4K resolution improved from a base of 1,440 pixels. Close-up shots in cutscenes accentuate this visual fidelity, which is also evident in the enhanced Photo Mode. For those with TVs compatible with 120 FPS, the Performance+ mode is available, providing Full HD resolution and further refining gameplay performance - an enticing option for a game like Uncharted, abundant with action-packed sequences and intense shootouts against hordes of enemies.

Longing for the Golden Days: Reviving the Uncharted Multiplayer Experience on PS5

In UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection, players can choose their gameplay path completely. Whether one desires to start with The Lost Legacy or switch between both titles, it's all possible with a simple menu selection. There is a notable absence: the multiplayer mode. The enjoyable multiplayer experience from the PlayStation 4 era, reminiscent of the golden days of Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 2, is missed. Frankly, there's a longing for a third-person shooter multiplayer akin to those classics. A multiplayer offering from The Last of Us may arrive soon. Still, it would be fantastic to relive the multiplayer camaraderie of Uncharted on the PS5 platform while exploring where to buy PS5 games.

The Enduring Legacy of Uncharted: Exploring Lost Legacy and Legacy of Thieves Collection

Nathan Drake isn't just about taking down enemies in UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection. He embodies the thrill of incredible adventures crafted by Naughty Dog. His absence is felt keenly, but the reimagined experiences on PlayStation 5 bring his exploits to life in a more immersive and visually stunning way than ever before. The gameplay's enduring relevance, enhanced by the DualSense controller and immersive 3D audio, coupled with the already remarkable graphics from the PlayStation 4 that received further refinements for the PlayStation 5, is truly impressive. Uncharted's legacy persists, evident in Lost Legacy's acclaim, proving the franchise's strength even without its iconic protagonist, thanks to the compelling narrative centered around Nadine and Chloe. UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection holds immense value. Whether you've played it before or not, it promises distinct sensations—nostalgia or discovery. However, both experiences deliver copious doses of adrenaline and entertainment, making a compelling case for diving into this treasure trove of gaming experiences, including the chance to buy PS5 games.

A direct sequel failed to materialize despite the later Lost Legacy expansion centered on fan-favorite Chole and her independent journey.
Themes of Maturity, Family, and Personal Growth in "A Thief's End"

Although neither title in this collection is particularly old—Uncharted 4 debuted in 2015—the Legacy of Thieves Collection immediately proves its worth by elevating already exceptional PlayStation titles to the standards of bona fide PS5 releases. Featuring various graphical options, such as HDR and multiple performance modes catering to different preferences—from a Performance Mode balancing resolution and frame rate for 60 fps to Performance+ Mode targeting 120 fps, and a Fidelity Mode emphasizing resolution at 30fps—the collection caters to the preferences of even the most discerning gamers. Reviewing each title within this collection seems unnecessary, given their established status as some of the highest-rated games in the PlayStation 4 catalog. However, revisiting these titles after a few years instilled in me a newfound appreciation for the storytelling prowess exhibited by Naughty Dog. Nathan Drake's journey encapsulates themes of maturity, prioritizing family, and relinquishing the past for personal growth. A Thief's End delivers exemplary performances that breathe life into every facet of Nathan's odyssey. As players, we grow attached to these characters, yearning for them to make the right choices while comprehending the difficulty of letting go. Elena, Nathan's wife, emerges as one of gaming's most impeccably written female characters—intelligent, capable, and unafraid to distance herself if Nathan resists evolution. I resonate more deeply with the themes explored in A Thief's End with age.

Lost Legacy: A Game-Changing Spotlight on Chloe

In previous games, she was often pushed to the side or seen primarily as a love interest. Even though Lost Legacy is relatively short, lasting only six hours, it goes deep into Chloe's character. This means even if someone hasn't played the previous game, they can still enjoy and follow along with the story. The primary allure of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection lies in the quality of its remasters. Are they worth the investment? Absolutely. Simply saying "yes" fails to capture the sheer brilliance of these remasters. Undoubtedly, building upon the already top-tier quality of the PlayStation 4 versions, diving into A Thief's End and Lost Legacy on the PlayStation 5 left me stunned. Both titles exhibit visuals and gameplay akin to native PlayStation 5 releases, outshining most other games on the console. The exceptional facial and character animations, masterful use of lighting that accentuates natural landscapes, and meticulous attention to detail—such as the realistic depiction of mud, dirt, and water adhering to the player—surpass the standards set by most other gaming experiences.

Notably, the standout aspect remains the awe-inspiring environments, which are breathtaking. Furthermore, this collection encompasses every aspect of both releases, featuring an array of skins, artwork, cheats, and many customization options, catering to players' preferences for difficulty and accessibility. The difficulty levels span from providing auto lock-on and simplified combat for a more narrative-driven experience to hardcore modes demanding precise gameplay. The ability to switch difficulty settings seamlessly ensures a tailored experience for every player, whether they're looking to buy PS5 games or explore different gaming challenges.
